I loved the cover of the French Bulldog in the last issue and I really enjoyed all the articles in it.They keep getting better and better. I take my sweet time reading it all because I want it to last. If I read it too quickly, I have to wait a whole three months for the next issue! Regarding your Just One Day, event, this year: what a great idea to bring the business leaders to the shelters. I am sure they are all in desperate need. Manatee Animal Services are so overcrowded and in need of funding. We recently picked up a Poodle there. He was a stray and had been at the shelter for eight days. Once we got him out, he was the happiest dog. We had him fully vetted and evaluated. He was adopted within three weeks after we had him fully vetted and evaluated. Constanza B. Volunteer, Florida Poodle Rescue St. Petersburg RE: Our feature on dreams: A Life That Touches Others Goes On Forever. Each one of the stories from this article were heartfelt and so tender. It brought tears. I truly believe the relationships we share with our beloved pets stay with us forever, and will continue when our time comes. Thank you so much for sharing my story about Dad and our precious Allie - it was beautiful. Amelia and Russ Torrant Clearwater That’s It. No more reading The New Barker at work. I did not have time to read the latest issue of The New Barker at home, the one with graphite art of an English Bulldog puppy on the cover. I picked it up at Bark and Brunch, a fundraising event for Dunedin Doggie Rescue, at the Dunedin Smoke House in June. I brought my copy to work to read, and half way through the magazine, started tearing up - both happy and sad tears. Once again, you’ve shown to have your fingers on the pulse of the dog-human world. Your stories both enlighten and enrich us. Okay, now off to a meeting, tissue in hand. Cathy S., Dunedin To the point. I adore this magazine. We have a Standard Poodle that we take everywhere. Kathi K. New Port Richey More on our June 11 Just One Day event, a collaboration The New Barker facilitated between Morgan Auto Group dealerships and multiple animal services shelters across the Tampa Bay Area: We are so excited for this opportunity. The New Barker continues to be such a great community partner to MCAS. Hans Wohlgefahrt Manatee County Animal Services This is so awesome.Thank you so much for inviting Manatee County Animal Services. Sarah. G. Brown, MPA Chief, Animal Services Division Manatee County We had a great day and everyone enjoyed meeting the team. Of course the crew - staff and volunteers, loved the Cuban Sandwiches from the Columbia Restaurant. This was an awesome opportunity for our shelter. Thank you for inviting Brandon Honda and Toyota of Tampa Bay management team to tour our facility and meet our staff. Editor’s note: The Columbia Restaurant, Ybor City, generously donated lunch for staff and volunteers at Hillsborough County Animal Services Pet Resource Center.Thank you, Andrea Gonzmart.
