b'A painting of wild horses running is the mostcherished item in my studio. I painted that when Iwas living in Sao Paulo 20 years ago.A homeless man knocked on my studio door inSao Paulo asking about art class. I invited him into walk around. At that moment, I felt that Ineeded to do something to change this mans life.I invited him to live with me and taught him topaint. In Rio de Janeiro, several years ago, I helpeda homeless woman give birth to a baby girl at 3amon a street. It was one of the most blessedmoments in my life. Due to the pandemic, thehomeless situation is worse than ever before inBrazil. I have been raising money to buy and shipfood to families there who have lost their jobs andhave very little or nothing at all to eat. When I am not working, I enjoy being at home, cooking, talking to my family in Brazil, or havinga glass of wine by the pool.To be able to paint is a talent that was given tome. For that, I am grateful. I did my first paintingwhen I was seven years old. My father looked atmy mother and said, I think he has real talent! Finally, now, this is the moment in my lifescareer when I feel like I can have fun, and paintfor the enjoyment. I want my clients to like whereIm going with my idea of a painting they havecommissioned.
