For some, thiswas their first time, while others had taken part in the celebra-tion before. It was a winter wonderland in the month of July.Dogs and humans took to the ice to participate in Dog Park OnIce Christmas, an event that has been a yearly tradition since2012. The June 23, 2021 event was at the Daytona Ice Arenaand benefitted the Halifax Humane Society. More than a hun-dred dogs and almost 300 people registered for the event andmore than $3,400.00 was raised for the shelter. There was asmall dog skate followed by a big dog skate. Each dog receivedbooties donated by Pawz Natural Rubber Dog Boots beforetaking to the ice. From Chihuahuas to Great Danes, the magic Buddy, color-coordinated.of Christmas was felt a few months early.
