b'Florida SARC Becomes Part Of SPCA FloridaEstablishedin2011,FloridaStateAnimalResponseCoalition (FLSARC) is a coalition of various groups andindividuals working within the state of Florida to plan forand assist animals impacted by disasters. Coalition membershave the combined knowledge and skills gained over manyyears of experience responding to both natural and man-made disasters. Trained volunteers or boots on the groundassisted with disasters such as Hurricane Matthew and Irma,hoardingcasesinmultipleFloridacounties,andFloridaanimal shelters during floods and disease control. FLSARCprovided emergency animal sheltering for all. Emergencyshelteringincludesbuildingatemporaryshelter,under-standing animal behavior and illnesses, and providing dailyanimal care.EffectiveSeptember1,2021,FLSARCisofficiallyunder the SPCA Florida umbrella. It has been an amazing 10 years and we have accom-plished goals beyond our expectations, but there is more todo,said FLSARC Founder, Consie von Gontard, who is theretiring founder. SPCA Florida is the perfect organizationto bring these goals to reality, It has been an honor to workwith our amazing team of volunteers and I thank you foryour continued dedication to our organization.
