Our dogs may not care abouttheir own birthdays, but they are certainlygame for having fun with their humans,particularly when it includes delicioustreats baked just for them. According to a study from Psychology Today,81 percent of pet owners know their petsbirthdays, and 77 percent celebrate bybuying a gift. Those who dont know theirpets birthday may celebrate the day theywere adopted, also known as Gotcha Day. The New Barker recently hosted twobirthday parties which included specially-created, beautifully-designed birthday cakesbaked just for the dogs. The cakes were thecreation of Pastry Chef Elizabeth LizBrawley of St. Petersburgs Swah-Rey.Liz even created toppings for both cakes inthe likeness of each birthday dog.
