b'Now that you are ready totake your pack on some well-deserved eco-therapy, hereare a few tips I learned fromour first adventure with ourHusky, Special Agent Gibbs:*Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes earlierthan your reserved tour time. Until youfind parking, get everything out of yourvehicle, walk to the dock, apply your sun-screen, and make sure each of you has apotty break. That 30 minutes flies by fast. Its also respectful to plan to arrive early ifyour tour is with a group. *Check out the rules for the park. For example, plastic water bottles willnot be allowed. We had reusable waterbottles, including one for Gibbs. *Wear water shoes to protect your feet andkayak. Gibbs wears summer booties toprotect his paws from the hot pavement, decking, and initial sitting inside thekayak. *Take a life vest or life jacket for your pet. There is a point where you get to enjoythat year-round 72-degree Fahrenheitwater. Gibbs is not a good swimmer, sothis option is safe for all of us. *Place a towel down wherever your dogwill be inside the kayak. Remember, it ishot in Florida. *Take a backpack with healthy snacks foryou and your dog in the event you needthem after your tour. Most tours are 2.5hours long. *Make sure to charge your phone so youcan take as many pictures and videos asyou want without worrying about batterylife. Your tour guide will be happy to snapsome photos for you, so you have plentyof memories to revisit.
